George is a 4× science graduate with Master of Science being his highest qualification. All his degrees were obtained at the University of the Free State on record time.
Academic Qualifications
- 1st Qualification: BSc Geology degree
- 2nd Qualification: BSc Geology (with specialization in Mineralogy) Honours degree
- 3rd Qualification: BSc Hydrogeology Honours degree
- 4th Qualification: MSc Hydrogeology
He is a professional scientist registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) with over 7 years of experience in the Geoscience field.
Professional Experience
Over the years, George moved to planning and information directorate where he was a production scientist in the Upper Orange and Middle Vaal Water Management Areas (WMA). He managed water quality and quantities (groundwater levels) in these WMAs, making it easier to recommend drilling points.
He further worked for the Strategic Water Partners Network (SWPN) for a year, followed by professional environmental and engineering services consulting to date.
